I am captivated by the transitory, ethereal nature of watercolor. I find the medium meditative. It forces me to be present in every moment as the painting will continue to create itself if the painter fails to remain mindful.
My subject matter is usually something that strikes me in its beauty, mystery and spiritual nature. I have been called a contemplative painter, which does seem to describe my approach. My quest is always to communicate the Spirit that is all in all. The elusive nature of watercolor lends itself to this endless pursuit.
